Mai named to the dean’s list

Hunter Mai, a sophomore criminal justice major from International Falls, was among about 820 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2021 dean’s lst. The dean’s list recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

Knights 1540 holds hoop shoot

More than 20 kids participated Sunday in the local 2022 Knights of Columbus 1540 Free Throw Championship. Gary “Gus” Loop, recorder for Council 1540, reports the winners have a chance to advance to Districts, Regions, and then the state Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.

Clinton Carl Kasma

On Monday, January 3, 2022, Clinton Carl Kasma, loving husband and father of four, passed away peacefully at age 89. Clint was born in New York Mills, MN Sept. 29, 1932.He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Kasma, and his adored daughters, Leslie (Jack) Wynn, Karla Lescarbeau, Kristin (David) Hendrickson, and Donelle (Joseph) Kasma-Novick. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Cory (Chelsey) Illies, Christian Illies, Jocelyn Lescarbeau, Luc Lescarbeau, Carly Hendrickson, and Greta Hendrickson; and his sister, Joyce Schwartz. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Florence Kasma, and his brother Kenneth Kasma.
