Icy Icebox

Traditional events drew people to Icebox Days, Borderland’s annual frozen frolic, this past weekend. Temperatures hovered in the teens above zero, but wind chills kept it feeling like zero. Kids and adults donned 2x4s for Smoosh Races downtown, and prizes were given out during Turkey Bowling, in a downtown parking lot. Boot hockey brought a few teams to the Ranier Rink. Normally in this kind of situation where someone’s primary friendship is with one person, the friendship just sort of naturally dissolves when they break up, but Anthony thinks of me as his best friend and is likely to continue, unless I say otherwise.
