NEARLY NORTH OF TWO:

About this time exactly 60 years ago, this old adventurer began to enjoy his greatest acquaintance in life, beginning in Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota. It was during THE Minnesota High School basketball tournament that produced ONE and ONLY ONE champion for the entire state. A group of Belle Plaine High School girls noticed a group of neighboring Jordan High School boys, whose fine basketball team came close to playing in that 1962 state tournament from the floor instead of balcony. Those girls drew those boys’ attention from across the balcony above the games on the floor below. It was history in the making, thanks to Patty Jo.

Enforcement action was taken snowmobile registration and exceeding snowmobile trail speed limit regulations. Several animal-related complaints were also handled throughout the week
