Tuesday The Rainy River baseball played a pair of games in Lacrosse, Wis., Monday against Western Tech. In Game 1, the Voyageurs took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second but Western scored one in the bottom of the second and 2 in the 5th to edge Rainy 3-2.

Violet’s Floyd

Chapter 5 There was a law in Canada that you couldn’t keep venison past March, even canned venison; according to Floyd the government figured that you were shooting deer and canning it out of season. The result was that the rural folks raised such a ruckus that they changed the law and in any case the Mounties wouldn’t have known when it was canned because they just backdated the labels.

“Belle” is a female mix breed. She came in as a stray and never claimed. She is a sweetheart and walk good on a leash. Belle is brown and white and weighs 56 pounds.
