Don’t eat that

With Easter coming up I thought it would be a good idea to remind people of the plants and foods we should never let our dogs and cats eat or play with. Everything listed can cause terrible reactions such as mouth burns, high temperature, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, lethargy, muscle weakness, liver and kidney failure, long-term intestinal issues, internal injury, neurological damage, convulsions, coma and death.

On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, members of the International Falls Area Chamber of Commerce met at Backus Community Center to decide the future of the chamber. Members in attendance were present to vote on a resolution passed by the Chamber’s Board of Directors on Feb. 7, 2022, to dissolve the chamber at the end of the current fiscal year, April 30, 2022.

Minnesota North College: Merger includes RRCC

Minnesota North College is the new name of the five regional colleges, including Rainy River Community College in International Falls, merging starting May 23 Ḟinal approval of the merger of the five colleges of the Northeast Higher Education District – Rainy River, Hibbing, Itasca, Mesabi Range and Vermilion - into a single accredited institution with six campuses was approved March 16 by Minnesota State Colleges and Universities board. All six campuses will remain open under the new structure, said an announcement from Minnesota State.
