Author-Poet Dolores Dahl passed away peacefully early Sunday morning. All five of her surviving children were with her on the last day of her rich and meaningful life.

Bonnie Jean Siltman, 89, of Littlefork, Minnesota, died on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Littlefork Care Center. Bonnie was born on September 19, 1932 in Fairmount, ND, to parents, Alfred and Mildred (Lenhart) Rienfeld.
Judith Anna Leolich (Dahlvang), 66, of International Falls, Minnesota left this Earth to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Essentia Health- St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
Helen Beverly Welsh, 86, formerly of International Falls, Minnesota, died on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Goldpine Home in Bemidji, MN. Helen was born on August 15, 1935 in Wallhalla, ND.
The 2021-2022 Bronco Girls Junior High Basketball season was fun, successful, and memorable, reports Coach Josh Koenig. The seventh-grade team finished 24-6 on the season; the eighthgrade team finished 14-10 on the season.
Since I’m not fully sure of where this is going I’ll borrow an old Moody Blues album title, “Seventh Sojourn” and morph it, adding another journey, this one on my own. If you have read past columns of mine you may have picked up on my affiliation for music and that’s where I can still see that Moody’s album cover in my mind from the 1970s, and yes, I still would be likely to crank up the volume on their signature song, “I’m Just a Singer in a Rock and Roll Band”. Today though, decades later, the eighth sojourn finds me walking into the Coffee Landing in downtown International Falls. It’s a fine March winter morning with abundant sunshine and single degree temperatures.
SPRING RIDE - Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Voyageur Country AVT Club has changed the date for its spring ride. The ride will be from 11 a.m.
A 62-year-old movie came our way this past week, a story even older with overtones for today. His 1960 “Elmer Gantry” film performance, based upon a Sinclair Lewis novel, brought Burt Lancaster that year’s Oscar Award. Sinclair Lewis’ writings were masters of satire, especially here in our backyards, and that generates reflection.
