Check out our traveling exhibit from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Pollinators, “Bee Aware” emphasizes the importance of pollinators in our daily lives, their challenges to survival, and ways we can help them. Several interactive components provide fun opportunities to explore pollinators. It will be in the library lobby until May 20. A number of books and movies are also available to borrow about pollinators and their importance or ways to help pollinators.

Members vote to keep chamber

On a membership vote of 38 to 5 at a special meeting Tuesday, the International Falls Area Chamber of Commerce reversed an earlier vote to dissolve as of Saturday, the end of its fiscal year. The vote, which continues the chamber’s existence, puts in motion a plan to survey members, conduct an audit, fill board vacancies, and recruit volunteers and more members.

Keeping ‘Tank’ laughing

Mary Servis says she’s been told her job is to keep a local couple laughing at a time as tough as it can get. But, she said it’s a labor of love to do for Sherwin and Heidi Taylor, as Sherwin’s someone who’s quick smile and hearty laugh have brought cheer to many people in Borderland.
