Santa, Mrs. Claus and their friends arrive in many different places under all types of modes of travel. Mike and Patty Melander, from Menahga, Saturday brought Santa, Mrs., and his helpers, along with his sleigh, to Littlefork by semi-truck and trailer. The Santa Truck, as it’s known, brings the Santa crew to small communities in Minnesota during December. It’s the third year they’ve transported Santa to Littlefork.

The International Falls boys swimming and diving team hosted a 7-team invitational on Saturday. Duluth East won the team title with 408 points followed by Mesabi East with 280, Rock Ridge 264, Superior 242, and International Falls with 79. Top finishes for the Broncos:

It’s hard not to feel some excitement when talking to Felix Asemota about what could be called his baby: the planned I-Falls Multimodal Transportation & Foreign Trade Zone Logistic Facility. Asemota, president of Onesimus Management Group LLC, likes to talk about the project, which he and local representatives have said could be a game-changer for the economic outlook of the Borderland region.
