Dick Old adventurer and long-term bride, sweetheart and best friend here wish everyone a wonderful holiday season with full measures of peace and happiness. After 24 years at Idaho’s Snake River camp, it’s now our 5th Christmas North and nearly North of Highway #2 in Minnesota’s Northland, at once-grand rapids of our dandy river Mississippi.
Eight Indus School ProStart culinary students traveled to Minnesota North College in Hibbing on Nov. 17 to assist with preparations for a community Thanksgiving dinner there, serving 300 people.

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference announced its athletes of the week ending Dec. 4 and Rainy River’s Kiarra Edley earned North Division Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week. Edley had backto- back double-doubles that week scoring 34 points and grabbing 33 rebounds in 3 games.

October 18, 1955 December 12, 2022 Terri Johnson died peacefully at Rainy Lake Medical Center on Monday, December 12th, 2022 with her family by her side. Terrol Lynn Brekke was born in International Falls, MN on October 18, 1955 to Norman and Lois Brekke.
