James Dale Valentine, 90, died on November 8, 2021 at the Littlefork Care Center in Littlefork, Minnesota.

He was born on March 26, 1931 in International Falls to parents, John and Gertrude (Miller) Valentine.

James was united into marriage to the former Donna Misner on March 30, 1951.

James retired from the Boise Cascade Paper Mill where he worked in the Finishing Room.

He loved working in the yard growing many flowers, cutting wood and most of all being at the shack with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He enjoyed hunting, teaching to hunt, and telling tall tales.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; infant son, James; son, Michael; grandson, Joshua; parents, John and Gertrude Valentine; brother, William; and sister, Betty.

He is survived by his daughters, Betty (Jay) Mitchell, Cindy (Darwin) Sanden, Toni (Donnie) Dunbar; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and brother, John (Katie) Valentine.

A memorial service will be conducted at Green-Larsen Mortuary on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

A luncheon will be held at the Elks Lodge #1599 following the service.
