
Joseph James Cowlishaw of Minnetonka, Minnesota died on December 9, 2021 at the age of 43.
Joe was born in Worthington, MN but grew up in International Falls. He graduated from Falls High School in 1996 where he played basketball, football and track.
Joe worked for Sam’s Club for 19 years both in the Minnetonka and Bloomington stores as a stocking manager. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends. He was a great dancer, always had a joke and a laugh and had a big heart.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Cowlishaw.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Kathy Cowlishaw, sisters, Julie (Jay) Bartkowski, Rachel Cowlishaw (Josh Taylor), Rebecca (Steve) Joslyn and brother David (Pam) Cowlishaw, along with nieces and nephews, John (Erika) Bartkowski, Jack and Jared Bartkowski, Kaitlyn and Kalleann Cowlishaw, Thomas (Andrea) Briggs, William Briggs (Katie Hovis), Ethan and Liam Cowlishaw, Jacob (Liz) Joslyn, Christopher and Kevin Joslyn and Hunter Rancourt. He is also survived by his life-time friends, Kevin Melbo, Amis MacKenzie and Lucas Byman, who knew him as “Joe Slick”.
A memorial service is being planned for late January.
