Jeanette Pearl Aitchison. February 13, 1944 – February 8, 2022
Jeanette Pearl (Granger) Aitchison was born February 13, 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota to parents, Norman and Ida Granger. She was baptized and confirmed at Jehovah Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Jeanette attended Central Lutheran Elementary School and graduated from Wilson High School in St. Paul in 1962.
Jeanette was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and an active member of the LWML. She loved flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, baking, and rides in the country. She made many trips with her children to visit her parents in St. Paul. Her family was the light of her life and she loved to gather everyone together to celebrate occasions, big and small.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Ida Granger; brother, Bill Jahr; and husband, John Hopkins, who passed away in August 1970.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George Aitchison; daughters, Stephanie (Leonard) Morrison, Susan (Tony) Lucek; son, John (Michelle) Hopkins; sister, Shirley Buerkle; aunt, Florence Lopez.
She also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle (Jeanmarie) Morrison, Amy Morrison, Brett (Nikki) Lucek, Adam Lucek; five great-grandchildren; and many special friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, International Falls, with Pastor Jacob Quast presiding. Memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran.
The family would like to thank Rainy Lake Medical Center for the special care they gave to Jeanette, and to Pastor Quast for his comforting words, hymns, and presence during this difficult time.
