Dwayne Clarence Mannausau

Dwayne Clarence Mannausau, 72, of International Falls, Minnesota died on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society – International Falls.

Dwayne was born on May 14, 1950 in International Falls, to parents, Clarence and Linnea (Ekstrom) Mannausau.

Dwayne was employed by MD&W Railroad and later for Boise Cascade in International Falls.

He enjoyed woodworking, volunteering, watching westerns, helping others, driving the backroads, spoiling pets, and gardening.

Dwayne served with the Army Reserves, and was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elk’s Lodge #1599. He was a member and past council member of First Lutheran Church in International Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Linnea Mannausau; brother, Jon Lowell Mannausau; and his godson and nephew, Peter Nicholas Mannausau.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Fischer; son, Joshua (Tina) Fischer; daughter, Shannon Fischer (Jamie Short); grandchildren, Callen Short; brothers, David (Mary) Mannausau, Daryl (Ming) Mannausau, Paul Mannausau (Nikki); nephew, Adam (Alex) Mannausau and their children, Vinny and Milo.

A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church on Thursday July 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service.

Memorials would be preferred to First Lutheran Church or to the donor’s choice.
