Rose (Hardwig, Vollman) Wolfinger, 93 of Cingmars Township at Littlefork, Minnesota died on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Norridge Gardens Senior Care, Norridge, Illinois. She was born on January 9, 1928 in Littlefork, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; William and Rose (Promersberger) Hardwig, Husband: Robert Wolfinger, son; Thomas W Vollman, brothers; Herbert (Signe), Joseph (Mathilda), William (Pauline), Thomas, and Richard (Inez), sisters; Helen Hardwig and Marie (Hardwig) Todd (William), daughter-in-law; Beverly Vollman.
Survivors include, sons; Ross W Vollman, Daniel M Vollman, daughter-in-law; Mary Vollman, grandchildren; Thomas J Vollman, Allyson Vollman-Blevins, Joshua Blevins, Jennifer Vollman, Daniel F Vollman, Layne Teska-Vollman, sisters-in-law; Patti Hardwig, and many loved and cherished nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Rose loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Playing cards and doing needlepoint and crocheting. She was famous for her baking, especially for her Biscotti and prize winning Apple Pies, she was a great cook. She had a great smile, infectious laughter, always said you have to laugh every day, a good sense of humor, and would laugh at herself. She was a loving and devoted mother.
She loved spending time with her niece SanDee in Wisconsin, they were like peas in a pod, they would spend weeks at a time together driving up home to Littlefork MN and then drive back along the Mississippi and stop at little B&B’s and make friends joking with people in little diners all the way back to Wisconsin.
She also love all her wonderful friends at the condominium where she lived and she visited nearly daily, and all the great friends that would pick her up every Friday to go out for dinner.
She was so proud of her work at Wells Lamont, she started there in July of 1977 and worked there until age 82. She truly loved all the wonderful friends she made there, she always spoke so highly of all of them.
Services will be conducted on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Columban Catholic Church, 1017 4th Ave. Littlefork, MN. 56653. Interment will follow at Oakley Cemetery, 1053 Laurel St, Littlefork, MN 56653.
