Frances Phillip Amiot

Francis Phillip Amiot, 91, of International Falls, Minnesota, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society International Falls, Minnesota.

Francis was born on January 28, 1931 in Red Lake Falls, MN to William and Eva (Goyette) Amiot. Francis enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1952. He was employed with Boise Cascade Paper Mill and retired as a Beater Engineer in 1993.

Francis enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to his hunting shack, and crafting. He was a jack of all trades, and known to be kind and generous.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva (Watrous) Amiot; sister, Margaret Sharp; brother, Orphier Amiot; first wife Darlene Amiot; second wife, Agnes Amiot; son, Phillip Amiot; and grandson, Chad Bahr.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Bahr; sons, Dennis Amiot, Michael Amiot; sister, Alice Ossachuck; step-daughters, Kim Schmidtbauer, Tammy Walls; eighteen grandchildren, and eighteen greatgrandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at Green-Larsen Mortuary.
