January 15, 1932 January 8, 2023 Bonita “Bonnie” Swenson was born on January 15, 1932, in Trenton, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde and Lillian (Thompson) Mays.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Benjamin Swenson in Raton, New Mexico. Benjamin was in the Army so the family moved frequently including two moves to Germany. Due to all the moving Bonnie was a homebody but enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, playing the piano, reading, playing games and card games, and was an avid NFL fan.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lillian; husband, Benjamin; infant son; sister, Donn Swiader; and numerous other family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her son, John Swenson of Roseau; daughter, Kathy (Dan) Garbe of Hayward, WI; grandchildren, Lenore (Matt) Marshall, Kevin Baugher, Michael Baugher; great-grandchildren, Luke, Heath, Hutch, Kuddyer, and Layla; special nephew, Jerry(Jacqui) Carroll; and her special niece, Karen Kesler.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
