Agnes Theresa Amiot, 86, of International Falls, Minnesota, died on August 24, 2021, at Essentia Health-Miller Dwan in Duluth, Minnesota.
Agnes was born October 19, 1934, to Andrew Edward Erickson and Ada Beatrice Erickson (Gagnon) in International Falls, Minnesota.
She was very active in her younger years. She enjoyed baking, snowmobiling, waterskiing, swimming, fishing, hunting, and dancing. She also loved playing games such as Yahtzee, cribbage, whist, and a variety of yard games. She even enjoyed mowing the lawn!
We will surely miss the brigade of crabapple pie baking (20+ pies at a time) and then Christmas baking of our family favorites. She also was a waitress for 35 years.
Agnes is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Walls; sisters, Annabel Moses, Sylvia Erickson, Genevieve Handley; half-brother, Harlan Phillips; father, Andrew Erickson; mother, Ada Parks; and stepfather, John Parks.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Amiot; daughters, Kimberly Schmidtbauer (Walls), and Tamara Walls; also, stepchildren, Debra Bahr, Mi-chael Amiot, and Dennis Amiot; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in International Falls at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in International Falls, Minnesota.
