Aline Marie Schuschke, 87, of International Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at Rainy Lake Medical Center with family by her side.
Aline was born March 14th, 1935 in Pinewood, Ontario to Ernest and Jeanne Larocque.
In her younger years, she worked at a resort in Sioux Lookout, Ontario with her sister. She then moved to Fort Frances, Ontario, where she spent her time there waitressing at the Rainy Lake Hotel. Her favorite story to tell about her time there, was when she waited on Johnny Cash’s table.
She married her husband Werner on August 23rd, 1958, and moved to the United States with him that same year, but remained a Canadian citizen. Aline spent her days as a stay-at-home mother and raised her four kids at their home on McIntire Hill.
She loved spending time with all of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, solitaire, bingo, baking, and sitting outside watching wildlife. She spent many years volunteering in the beauty salon at Falls Good Samaritan in International Falls, and made many dear friends in the process. Aline was also an involved member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Jeanne; husband, Werner; sisters, Florise (Felix), Estelle (Alan), Fernande, Rhea (Lazare), Claire (Alex), Jeannine, Marie (Harold); brothers, Roland, Robert (Darlene), and sister-in-law, Irma Dratwinski.
Aline is survived by her children, Lana (Sheldon) Boe, Barry, Lisa (Roger) Ysen, and Kurt (Tracey); grandchildren Kali (Julius) Dahl, Shannon (Collin) Boe, Jenna (Victor) Boe, Brendon (Trista) Ysen, Shelana (Rodney) Ysen, Kendra (the favorite) Ysen, Shelby Harmening, and Nick (Bonita) Ysen; great grandchildren Connor, Isabelle, Audrey, and Victor II; sisters, Lorraine (Rosaire) Beaudry, Lina (Lawrence) Siwak, Yolande (Albert) Pecz, and Angele White; brother Noel (Elaine) Larocque; sisters-in-law, Beulah Larocque, and Hilde Krawchuk, and brother-in-law Jim Donnelly, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
