April 6, 1950-October 7, 2022
Alvin B. Glennie left us on
October 7, 2022, to go fishing with his father and dog, Muffy in calm heavenly waters after an 11 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Al was born April 6, 1950, to Alvin and Anne Glennie. He leaves behind his loving wife, Pauline, who was his best friend, caregiver, and love of his life; sons, Ryan and Kyle; step-children, John, Chad, and Melissa; 11 grandchildren; and brother, Bob Glennie. His love of boating, fishing, and growing up on Sand Bay was what made him a wonderful boat captain. Alvin worked many jobs during his lifetime. Some of his favorites were working at Bronco Arena, the national park as a tour boat captain, Satisfaction Guaranteed in the Gulf of Mexico as a fishing captain, and tour boat captain at Port of the Islands. He and his wife have also been landlords for 26 years in Int’l Falls.
He was a true snowbird living life with his wife the best way he could. He loved going to the shack and enjoying the outdoors. He will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him. He also loved watching the Wild play hockey; and watching the Twins baseball games were guaranteed to put him to sleep. He always said live life today there may not be tomorrow. It was Al’s wishes not to have any funeral services.
Condolences may be left on www.greenlarsen.com Arrangements are with Green-Larsen Mortuary, Inc. tomorrow.
