Jail takes shape

Segments of walls of the new Koochiching County Jail were put in place last week by crane.The walls were delivered to the site by 21 semi-trucks and unloaded by crane off Fourth Street.The original jail was built in 1978 but can no longer meet state standards for safety and security.

Hitting the trails
