As protests at college campuses test the right to express political views, seventh graders from Littlefork-Big Falls and International Falls got a chance to see what happens when expression turns into action on Koochiching County Law Day.Members of Koochiching County’s court administration, probation, county attorney’s office and many others last Friday role played with students to help them understand their constitutionally protected rights and what happens when someone may take action beyond those rights and violate the rights of others.The 2024 Law Day theme, “Voices of Democracy,” selected by the American Bar Association, recognizes that in democracies, the people rule.
