School bus seatbelts?
Question: I am puzzled as to why seatbelts are mandatory in vehicles along with a fine for not complying but our precious cargo in school buses are not required to wear them?Answer: School buses are one of the safest modes of transportation even without seatbelts.School buses are safer because of their large size and design.

Group focuses on homehealth
A focus group has been meeting to discuss options to fill a gap in home healthcare services left when a major provider ended service in International Falls.Susan Congrave, former director of the Koochiching County Public Health, said a group of stakeholders met in March, and have now become task force.The next meeting is at 1:30 p.m.

Search launched
The timeline in a search for a new International Falls school superintendent has been launched, with applications from candidates due April 15.The Falls School Board met in special session March 22 to discuss the timeline and plan to fill the superintendent position, now held by Kevin Grover.

Bronco golf
The 2024 Bronco boys and girls golf teams have been busy preparing for their upcoming seasons, reports Coach Charlie Anderson.There are 25 boys and girls out for golf this season as practices are underway in the Falls Elementary School gymnasium.The Bronco girls get their season start April 15 at a JV and Jr.
