Pete Kalar recently announced he will seek the position of International Falls mayor in the November election.Kalar, 61, now represents the East Ward on the International Falls City Council, and said he will serve out his term, which runs through 2026, unless he is elected mayor.He said his decision came after current Falls Mayor Harley Droba said he would seek the Minnesota House District 3A seat, now held by Roger Skraba, Ely.
