Cemetery association offers wreaths

Families may remember a loved one during the winter months with an opportunity offered by the board of directors of the Forest Hill Cemetery Association.The association has a limited number of fresh holiday wreaths that may be purchased for $50, reports Ward Merrill, Forest Hill Cemetery Association president.Each wreath is made locally with fresh evergreen boughs.

As part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Month in November, Beth Lindahl, crisis housing case manager for KOOTASCA Community Action, provided information out the agency’s program mission and statistics forKOOTASCA Community Action is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive crisis support services in Koochiching and Itasca counties.

College bound

Two Bronco seniors signed national letters of intent Wednesday to attend college next season for sports.Olivia Thostenson will attend Eastern Illinois University, located in Charleston Ill., about 190 miles south of Chicago, where she will play basketball.Golfer Kelby Anderson will attend Winona State University to play golf.
