More murders and kerfuffle

Joe Gardner and William Garrison had been neighbors for 2 years when they had a major argument about whose hay was being harvested. As always, the proverbial “one thing led to another,” Mr. Gardner according to his own admission, fired twice intentionally and a third shot accidentally. He also testified that he did not know that Garrison was fatally wounded. He managed to get messages to the sheriff and the coroner that there had been a kerfuffle, but he didn’t know if Garrison was dead or not.

It’s new book time!

New books are such a treat. It is so much fun to see what is new and handle the books or even read them before anyone else. You, too, can stop by the library and find new books that no one (except maybe library staff) has read. Enjoy being the first in the community to read a new book. You can have the privilege of sharing what you are reading with friends and family and know that they haven’t read it yet.

Mushroom Memories

Lady of this camp recently uncovered buried souvenir from earlier hunter/gatherer days--sealed half-pint jar dated year 2000 containing dehydrated morel mushroom halves! Prominently displayed, it now repeatedly reminds us of warm “Mushroom Memories.”
