Carolyn Graves

Carolyn Graves (62) of Int e rna t iona l Fa l l s / Moorhead MN, passed away on August 18, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born in Baudette, MN on August 30th, 1959. She graduated from Indus in 1977. Carolyn lived in International Falls with her husband Bruce Graves much of her life and moved to Moorhead, MN in 2019.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband at the “cabin” on the lake, and time with family. She also enjoyed playing games such as cribbage, Pollyanna and a variety of card games. Carolyn loved being outside and enjoyed collecting rocks, gardening and sitting by the fire. In her free time she liked to complete puzzles, embroider, knit, and read. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sporting events and school activities.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce Graves of 37 years, her step-son Jarrod Graves and her father Howard Schake. She leaves behind her mother, Janet Schake and her siblings, Holly (Chuck) Wilson, Stephanie (Warren) Wilson, and Jeff (Samantha) Schake. Her daughter Bobbi (Chris) Penner; her step-son Jason (Lori) Graves and; her grandchildren; Kate, Brooke, Dawson, Lexie Graves, Nash and Zaide Penner; her greatgrandchildren; Tatum, Waylon, Kash and Rosie.

A private family service will be held at Riverdale Cemetery in Border MN to honor Carolyn.

In lieu of flowers donation can be given to Red River Valley Hospice of the Fargo/Moorhead Area.
