GOP endorses in House, Senate

Andrea Zupancich and Bob Wolfe each got the Republican Party nod Sunday, April 10, for Minnesota Senate District 3 and Minnesota House District 3A, respectively, The endorsements took place at the GOP’s Minnesota Senate District 3 convention in Cook, reports Koochiching County GOP Chair Terry Stone. Both races were contested; for the Senate race Zupancich, who now serves as mayor of Babbit, and John Moren competed for the endorsement to fill the seat that will be left vacant with the retirement of Sen.

Are you ready for the next season?

Three projects involving Highway 53, a valuable and critical lifeline for International Falls and surrounding communities, are among the more than 230 construction projects in Minnesota. The projects “will help maintain Minnesota’s roads, bridges and transportation infrastructure; improve safety and mobility; and support jobs will be worked on across the state this year,” the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced last week.
