Bronco Hall induction ceremony planned

Final details are being planned for the induction ceremony for the 2023 Class of the Bronco Hall of Fame. To be inducted this year are Tony Curran, Gary Davison, Jeff Lindvahl, and Dan Mahle on the individual level along with the 1964 State Champion Hockey Team and the 1972 State Champion Hockey team, reports Falls School Superintendent Kevin Grover.

Elks donation

Elks Lodge 1599 officers recently presented a $2,000 donation to Servants of Shelter to help fund temporary housing needs for local folks experiencing homelessness. The grant was made possible by International Falls Elks Lodge 1599 and the Elk’s National Foundation Spotlight Grant Program. Rainfall network seeks volunteers

The Minnesota State Climatology Office is looking for volunteer rainfall monitors for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCo-RaHS). The network includes more than 20,000 volunteers nationwide who measure precipitation in their backyards using a standard 4-inch-diameter rain gauge.

Sled off

Last Friday was a great day and way to learn about Newton’s Law of Motion at Bronco Hill. Kevin Erickson reports that Falls Elementary fifth graders designed and built a sled from cardboard and duct tape for the annual sled off.
