Friday, July 22, 2022 15 years ago Tammy Faye Messner, a native of International Falls, died at her home Friday in Raleigh, N.C., after a long illness. Tammy had been instrumental in the creation of a large evangelism empire with her former husband, Jim Bakker.

RLMC serves as a Level 4 trauma hospital, which allows it to stabilize people having strokes, heart attacks, traumas and other series medical emergencies, and then transport them via helicopter to another facility for higher level care, said Mickie Olson, RLMC marketing director. Friday, July 15, 2022 15 years ago Bouts of rain may have curbed the number of fair-goers, but overall attendance was stabilized at an improved Northern Minnesota District Fair in Littlefork. There were 900 exhibit entries and the horse barn was full.
The weekend’s festivities celebrating America’s Independence Day brought new offerings and old favorites to International Falls. The three days of Fourth of July activities culminated Monday night with fireworks by the Falls Fire and Ambulance Service.
