Key Messages • Thunderstorms today (Monday) will bring areas of heavy rainfall, followed by another round of showers and storms tomorrow (Tuesday), but beyond Tuesday the forecast is looking dry. While another 0.10” to 0.30” of rain is expected on Tuesday after today’s storms, beyond this the forecast is very dry for the next ten days, with just a few chances for light rainfall amounts.

Spring baby

Al Shannon shared this photo of a doe, placed by its mother at the entrance of Shannon’s Plumbing and Heating. A clear indication that all are welcome there. The doe and fawn were reunited later in the day, when she returned to the doorway, reports Shannon, sending another photo. Wildlife officials urge people who may find fawns that this time of the year to leave them alone, as in most cases the mother deer is nearby, even if she is out of sight. Young deer may be left alone for as long as three days. Does with fawns can also be aggressively protective, so best for humans and their pets to stay away for the safety of all involved.
