‘Neon lights’ at Indus

Indus School Prom took place May 14 under the “Neon Lights.” Prom king and queen is Ulric Picar and Jade Etienne. After family and friends snapped pictures of the students and the decorations, the students were served a meal by volunteer staff and parents cooked by English teacher Shawn Bowles. “Flashback” and DJ Jesse played for a dance until 10 a.m., after which students cleaned up the school and bowled for a few hours at Timber Pins, International Falls. Prom advisor Stacy Robar was really pleased with how everything went and how hard the students worked on planning, decorating, and putting on the 2022 Indus Prom “Neon Nights,” Soren Olesen, Indus instructor reported. She is especially grateful for all the parents and staff that helped by donating time and food for the event. Olesen noted that Indus School students and staff were happy to be able to have a “real” prom again after canceling it for the past two years because of the pandemic.
