International Falls citizens have the opportunity to hear about and provide input on the 2025 levy and budget.The International Falls City Council in September adopted a preliminary budget, which will be funded in part by an 8-percent increase in levy over what was collected in the 2024 levy.At that rate, the levy would total $4.23 million, providing $313,654 more than the amount in 2024, to support a $19.1 million budget in 2025.Statewide, the 2025 preliminary property tax levies for cities will total approximately $3.737 billion compared with a final levy of $3.434 billion in 2024, an 8.8 percent increase, reports the Minnesota Department of Revenue.The council will take input at 6 p.m.
