The Koochiching County Board Tuesday reiterated its plan to build a new jail facility. The board reaffirmed a resolution to build a 40 bed, approximately 22,700 feet jail located at the existing county government service site location.

The International Falls school district caught a cyber-attack in September before the extortionists were able to encrypt private information from the school’s systems. The district lost one day of school Sept 12 when Superintendent Kevin Grover shut down the district, canceled school, and reported the district, along with its third-party incident response team, was investigating a potential cyber incident relating to its computer systems.
