Council considers water plant’s future

International Falls City Council agreed to discuss further in committee a water treatment improvement plan that would bring the first major rehabilitation of the 30-year-old plant. Brian Guldan, engineer with Bolton & Menke Inc., discussed the needs identified at the plant that could range in cost from $8 million to $10 million, and add costs to the monthly rates customers pay.
