Sandbagging around the community continues and the need is expected to be ongoing as the level of Rainy Lake and area rivers continue to rise. “We are still in need of volunteers, and I do not see that need changing any time soon,” Koochiching County Sheriff Perryn Hedlund said Tuesday.

The last class of Rainy River Community College graduates were recognized Friday, May 13, when 78 students, their families and friends took part in commencement ceremonies.
