Mary Servis says she’s been told her job is to keep a local couple laughing at a time as tough as it can get. But, she said it’s a labor of love to do for Sherwin and Heidi Taylor, as Sherwin’s someone who’s quick smile and hearty laugh have brought cheer to many people in Borderland.

No redistricting in Kooch

Dogs in foster care

A non-profit Minnesota dog rescue group reports it continues to be involved in what appears to have been the abandonment of 16 huskies around Kabetogama and Ash River earlier this month. Adopt A Husky Minnesota provided an update via social media post Monday, April 18, saying four puppies and six adult dogs are now safe, and they continue to attempt to live trap and handcatch, with the help of other rescue groups, the remaining dogs.
