April 8, 1943 February 5, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie Jean Toninato, on Sunday, February 5, 2023, after her hard-fought battle with cancer and all the many complications that went with that for the past 27 years. Marge passed away peacefully with her daughter Terri and niece Donna by her side.

Wayne Oliver Skoe, 69, of Northome, MN died on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Northome Public School in Northome, MN with Pastor Luke Berntson officiating. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the school. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Northome, MN at a later date. January 10, 1959 January 24, 2023 Daniel L. Guerard 64, of Birchdale, Minnesota, died January 24, 2023. He was born on January 10, 1959, in Austin, MN, the son of Lyle and Norena (Johnson) Guerard. He graduated from Shattuck in 1977 and was on the 1975 State Curling Champion Team. He also golfed, bowled, played hockey and softball, and was on the Crack Squad/ Drill Team.

James Robert Scheela (JR)

James Robert Scheela (JR) of Phoenix Arizona passed away at home on December 28, 2022 after complications from surgery. Born to Robert Scheela and Evelyn (Boe) Scheela on June 8,1949, Jim is survived by his son David J. Scheela, grandson Logan E. Scheela and daughter in law Jennifer L. Scheela all of Phoenix Arizona. He is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn E. (Boe) Scheela, his father Robert E. Scheela and sister Nancy L. (Scheela) Scott. Jim was originally from International Falls Minnesota and was one of the dirty dozen at Falls High School where he won first place for curling and was part of the graduating class of 1968. JR attended Bemidji State University and majored in graphic design eventually owning his own business Kachina Southwest printing and design. Jim was a wonderful father amazing grandfather and couldn’t ask for a better father in law or better friend. Jim will be loved and missed by his family and friends forever.
