Duane Leland Mitchell, 90, of Int’l Falls, MN passed away on November 14, 2022 at St Luke’s Hospital in Duluth MN. Duane was born on February 13, 1932 in Ruthton, MN to Helen and Ira Mitchell. He attended school in Ortonville, MN where he graduated in 1950. Duane was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1952. He attended school for court reporting and was working at the Federal Reserve in Minneapolis where he met the love of his life Marilyn. He and Marilyn were married on June 5, 1954 and moved to Int’l Falls in 1961, where he was a district and Koochiching County court reporter in Int’l Falls for 40 years.

Aline Marie Schuschke, 87, of International Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at Rainy Lake Medical Center with family by her side. Aline was born March 14th, 1935 in Pinewood, Ontario to Ernest and Jeanne Larocque.

Rollie James “Jim” Christie Jr., 65, of Hibbing, MN, died on November 12th, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer. Jim was born on March 15th, 1957, the eldest son to Shirley and Rollie Christie, Sr.
Michelle Elizabeth LaVelle age 58 passed away Thursday, November 10th 2022 as a result of a car accident in Austin, MN. She was born September 30th 1964 in Fort Bragg NC to Louis and Elizabeth (Nagle) Dion. Michelle graduated from Falls High School, International Falls, MN in 1983. Michelle moved to Austin, MN in 1985 where she had her first son Brandon. Michelle met the love of her life, Terry LaVelle and they were married in 1993. They continued to grow their family with two more sons Jack and Cooper. Her sons were the light of her life and was a very proud “boy Mom”.
1948-2022 On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Carol Marie Carlson died peacefully at the age of 73 at her residence in the memory care unit of the Villa Saint Vincent in Crookston, Minnesota. She had been suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease over the last couple of years, but other medical complications led to her being placed on hospice care less than a week before her death.
Mary Jean “Lyon” Bannert went to be with her Lord on November 4, 2022. Mary “Peg” was born in International Falls, Minnesota on January 24, 1938 to the parents of Theresa “Warmuth” Lyon and Delbert Lyon.
