Ask Amy: Granddad’s rough-housing leads to tears Dear Amy: Recently my children and I were with my in-laws (their grandparents) at a crowded event where I relied on my father inlaw to supervise my son (age 4) while I was with my toddler daughter. My father in-law tries to connect with my son by “being silly,” which for him means nose pinching, tickling, tug-of-war while holding hands, and general rough-housing and clownish behavior.
Rescuing a homeless cat or kitten
If you wander outside one day with your morning coffee and are greeted by the forlorn mews of an abandoned cat or kittens, you might be tempted to hope they will just “go away.” However, ignoring them will only make the situation worse. A dumped pregnant cat may shortly have kittens beneath your porch.

Question: We were driving down the interstate the other day and I was passed by a vehicle and I noticed the front passenger had their feet up on the front dash. This was a newer vehicle so I know there are air bags and this got me wondering if this was legal.

Through no fault of my own, it has come to my attention that May is Older American Month. This gave me pause. Let me see if I have this straight. May is a month. I get that. For Older Americans. Um, what the what?!

Chapter 12 One day Floyd’s dad Orrah was tending traps when he came upon a set and all he could see was the tip of a bear’s nose; the bear jumped up and Orrah instinctively shot. The bear was only stunned because the bullet ran up along the skull but didn’t penetrate it and it was then that his dad saw that it was only a cub and he had caught it in a wolf trap by the nose.

Question: Can someone with a motorcycle permit have their small dog riding on the motorcycle or would that be considered a passenger? We have already purchased a helmet and leather jacket for this lucky pup! Thank you for your response.

NEARLY NORTH OF TWO: SPRING’S SPRUNG
Old adventurer and most others here have rushed to open patios, balconies, doors and windows this past week when thermometer numbers climbed above 60 degrees, and then 10 more. Spring finally sprung and its long-delayed arrival has spurred our rush.
