Answer: Flooding can occur when streams and rivers flow over their banks, when dams or levees break, when there is run-off from deep snow or any time there is heavy rainfall. Floodwaters can be found on roads, bridges and low areas.

Chapter 5 There was a law in Canada that you couldn’t keep venison past March, even canned venison; according to Floyd the government figured that you were shooting deer and canning it out of season. The result was that the rural folks raised such a ruckus that they changed the law and in any case the Mounties wouldn’t have known when it was canned because they just backdated the labels.

GRACE AT BIG LAKE

As usual, there is some irony in the story. Starting out with the fact that the “Big” Lake of the story is really rather small and would only constitute a smaller bay in a lake the size of Rainy. Also, that the four family members involved in the story all were, or have be-come, health care professionals. Just a side bar to the exciting event in which lives were saved. So, let’s get down to the nuts and bolts of grace bestowed at Big Lake.

Answer: Brakes are required on all trailers with a gross weight of 3,000 pounds or more. Trailers manufactured after June 30, 1988, with a gross weight of 3,000 pounds or more require brakes installed on all wheels.
