Some trails, accesses restricted
Recreational use of off-highway vehicles will be restricted on some state forest trails and access routes during the upcoming firearms deer hunting season, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

More than 400,000 deer hunters are preparing for the firearms deer season that opens Saturday, Nov.

Buoy removal, hunting reminder
Voyageurs National Park staff began removing hazard markers and secondary aids to navigation within the park, starting on Namakan Lake.Removal efforts will continue throughout the following week, although weather and other variables will determine the exact days when removal will occur.
