A fan favorite and regular top finisher of the International Falls Bass Championship, Brian Brosdahl, of Max, Minn., posed with a 30-inch walleye caught on Rainy River a couple weekends ago for a photo snapped by local angler Jeff Hamilton, also a IFBC angler. Brosdahl, like Hamilton and many other anglers, was fishing the river for lunker walleye, and also caught sturgeon.
With summer and boating season starting in the next month or so, Canada Border Services Agency staff remind boaters of entry and reporting requirements when navigating Canadian waters or entering Canada by boat.
Several forest roads in the Pine Island, Kabetogama and Koochiching state forests are temporarily closed and other roads may soon be closed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as the spring thaw impacts road conditions.
