IFBCThe 3 on 3 basketball tournament:In the 12-14 age bracket team, Beaver Buckets, consisting of Jackson Cassidy, Kolton Joyce, Reed Stecroix, and Keiffer McKinnon placed second and team Benchwarmers, consisting of Oliver Whalen, Cooper Olson, and Nolan Martinson took first.In the 15-17 age bracket, the team of Aiden Lehman, Carter Line, Dayne Larson, and Brennan Maclanahan, called The Champions, placed second as team.
The Bronco varsity volleyball team Monday opened its season with a home match against the Roseau Rams.The match didn’t go in favor of the home team as the Broncos lost 3-0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-14).Head coach is Erin Hall.Players Camryn Rasmussen and Payton Grashorn finished the night with two kills each, and Piper Tomczak pitched in on the effort with three aces served, two kills and three blocks.Cheznee Skrein had an ace serve and a kill, and Lola Wade and Lauren Basaraba both had an ace serve.The Broncos played the very next night at Mountain Iron-Buhl to to take on the Rangers.Other teamsThe Bronco seventh grade volleyball team placed second at the Hibbing Tournament Sunday.
