Ice CatsThe International Falls Ice Cats 14U split a doubleheader Sunday with Rock Ridge.

When many of us were sweating out the 86 degree high temperature last Friday in International Falls, others were plenty comfortable at Bronco Arena for the first session of Hockey Camp.The first session ran from July 8-12,and included mini Mite and new players, Might Mites and first year Squirts, second year Squirts, Peewees, and Bantams.The second session is this week.

The 2024-2025 fall sports season at Littlefork-Big Falls High will mark the second year in a row that Viking football has returned to the community.The team is coming off a successful 2023-24 season finishing with an 8-2 record the first season back, and the only losses coming from Cherry in the regular season and the playoffs.Now the team is gearing up for season two.

Bill Engel, who had been at Minnesota North College-Rainy River since 2015, has named the men’s basketball coach and interim athletic director for Eastern Wyoming College on Thursday.Engel, the head men’s basketball coach at Minnesota North College - Rainy River, has been named MCAC North Coach-of-the-Year for the second year in a row.The Minnesota North Rainy River Voyageurs this year earned its first ever national tournament berth March 10 by defeating Riverland College in the Region XIII championship.

The Northern Revival 17’s finished their club volleyball season at the Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Ariz., where they played four days’ worth of volleyball which was 11 matches.They finished 44th out of 96 teams in the 18’s Club Division.
