The International Falls track and field teams were in Fargo Monday at an indoor meet that was held on the NDSU campus.The girls team placed 10th, while the boys team placed 16.GirlsAbbi Hutchinson took second in triple jump with 32-feet ¼ inch, and Olivia Thostenson took first in High Jump with a height of 5-foot, four inches.The girls 4X8 team placed seventh with a time of 12:59.19; the team is Lola Hall, Kendra Kalstad, Grace Weisz, and Julia Dykstra.Thostenson qualified for the 60m finals, with a time of 10.99, and placed eighth with a time of 11.14.The Girls 4X2 team placed seventh, with a time of 1:58.01, and consisted of Jillian Bilben, Piper Tomczak, Mary Versteeg, and Hutchinson.In the 400m Hutchinson placed fifth, with a time of 1:04.19, and also placed fourth in the 3200m with a time of 13:20.85.The Girls 4X4 team placed eighth as Lauren Basaraba, Tomczak, Bilben, and Dykstra combined for a time of 4:52.56.BoysThe boys 4X8 relay team of Camden Deedrick, Benson Sather, Max Youso, and Brendyn Scholler placed seventh with a total time of 10:55.36Scholler placed 11th in the 3200 m with a time of 12:21.20, and was on the 4X4 team that placed 13th with a time of 4:44.24 with teammates Deedrick, Youso, and Sather.Both teams competed Thursday, but the results were unavailable for this publication.Compiled by KGHS/KSDM Radio.

Fresh off a first-ever appearance in the NJCAA DIII Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament earlier this month, Bill Engel, head coach of the mens basketball team at Minnesota North College Rainy River, talked about the past and future seasons with the RLG.Engel said he and the players appreciate the support from the school and larger community in the national tournament.“We felt very excited,” he said.
