The Border Battle between International Falls and Fort Frances hockey teams was certainly hyped up going in and the game did not disappoint, as the two long time rivalries battled to a 2-2 overtime tie.The game was tied after 51 minutes and with a back and forth 8-minute OT, the teams still could not settle it, and with Minnesota State High School League rules, no OT or shootout, so officially this one goes down as a tie.Blake Kreger opened the scoring for Fort Frances in the first period before Cooper Crandall tied the game 14 seconds after the Kregar goal.
