The Rainy River baseball team lost a pair of games March 12 to Miles College. Game 1 was a 14-4 loss in five innings as Jesse Martinez went 2-3 with an RBI.
L-BF boys basketball
Littlefork-Big Falls Viking Tommy Larson scored the 1,000th point of his career March 9 when L-BF boys basketball played at North Woods in the opening round of the Section 7A tournament. The game was close early with the score tied at 12 but then the Grizzlies took control of the game and led 5229 at the half.

The Littlefork Big Falls girls basketball team Feb. 27 opened the Section 7A playoffs with a home game against the Wrenshall Wrens.

Bronco Lola Valenzuela was named to the third team of the 2023 All Arrowhead Conference, officials announced this week. The International Falls girls basketball team March 2 opened the Section 7AA playoffs with a game on the road against Mesabi East.

The Vikings took an early lead March 2 but could not shake the Broncos as the score was 38-26 L-BF at the half in the Battle by the Border between Littlefork-Big Falls and International Falls boys basketball teams at the Falls High Gym.
