Donna Marvel Magel, 42, of International Falls, Minnesota, died on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Rainy Lake Medical Center.

Donna was born to Fred L. Woods Sr. and Jacqueline Woods in International Falls.

Donna graduated from Falls High School in 1997. From there, she enrolled into nursing at Itasca Community College and obtained her CNA license.

She was a claims adjuster at United Health Care.

Donna enjoyed traveling, casino trips, time with friends and family, outdoor bird hunting and time on the atv, and especially spending time on Rainy Lake. She also loved the open road of motorcycling, attending her children’s events in and out of the community. She took pride in volunteering with local social clubs.

Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Queintin Kardon, Ed and Marvel Woods; Uncles, Sam Woods and Bernard “Spike” Woods; Aunt, Connie Woods, and step-brother, David Carroll.

She is survived by her children, Damion Magel and Keira Magel; spouse; Rich Magel; father, Fred (Dianne) Woods, Sr.; mother, Jacqueline (Gerald) Carroll; brothers, Fred Leonard Woods; sister, Leona Edler; stepbrother, Wayne Krueger; step-sisters, Dawn McCoy, Tracey Schaffer, and Laurie Carroll and mother-in-law, Joanne Magel.

Life is too short, do what makes you happy!

A visitation was conducted on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00pm at Green-Larsen Mortuary with a brief memorial service.

A Celebration of Life will was held immediately follow the visitation at the Border Bar from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the Elks Lodge #1599 in Donna’s memory.
