Edward Louis Villalta, age 88, passed away on September 24th, 2022. Ed was born on January 22, 1934, in International Falls, Minnesota to Luigi and Genoveffa Villalta.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ellen (Burrock) Villalta, his two children, Lisa Villalta (Perry Leo) and Thomas Villalta along with his grandchildren, Rylee, Rachel, Lauren, Sam and Benjamin.

Ed was preceded in death by his son James, his parents and his brothers Archie, Donald and Tony.

Ed resided in St. Joseph, Minnesota for many years, working in St. Cloud, but lived his retirement years in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ed loved to travel, spend times with friends and family, work on puzzles, cook, and laugh. He made friends easily and often throughout his life.

During his brief illness, Edward was cared for in the Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, by a team of compassionate and experienced staff. He will be missed dearly.

A celebration of Ed’s life will be held in late November.
