Larry was born on September 27, 1954 in International Falls to James & Doris Nichols. After attending school, he followed in the footsteps of his father while learning from & working with him to become an ironworker on numerous projects. He later enjoyed working at the International Mall for many years in the custodial department. In 1977, he welcomed his daughter, who was the most im portant part of his life. In 1985, Larry once again followed in the footsteps of his father as he became an owner and manager of the Nichols Mobile Home Trailer Park which he continued to do until the time of his death.
Larry had a great love for all things outdoors and was an avid fisherman who could often be found out on the lake catching walleye or spending time on his houseboat. He was a problem-solver and often took on tasks to fix most anything around the house or his mobile home court. He loved the simple pleasures of life… reading comic books as a child, growing a large vegetable garden every summer, reading books and watching westerns up until his last days. Larry always had time to help his family or visit with those who stopped by. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all those who knew him.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. on April 23, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel located at 1340 Keenan Drive in International Falls, Minnesota.
